Updated Narrative:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred Saturday, October 26, 2013, near the intersection of 159th Street and Prairie Avenue, Lawndale.
Detectives have learned that deputies from South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station responded to the 4000 block of 159th Street, Lawndale, regarding a 'Shots fired' call.
Upon their arrival, deputies found a vehicle that had crashed into a building, with the engine still running. Deputies saw a male Black adult seated behind the wheel of the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
