FYI- car/deer crashes have accounted for over 35% of the car crashes reported to EAPD in October so far. We anticipate that to increase due to the upcoming rut. Be watchful of deer, particularly at night. If you do strike a deer please let us know so we can make sure it doesn't become a road hazard, or needs to be euthanized. Also we will generate a complaint card in the event your insurance company may require it. In addition we will make arrangements to have it picked up. If you wish to keep the deer, call, and an officer will inspect it and issue a deer tag for legal transport.
