Halloween this Thursday, Oct 31. Be watchful for Cars and Pedestrians
Halloween night is again on October 31, this Thursday. Expect a lot of traffic and pedestrians, particularly in the early evening. Extra patrols will also be out to help make this event a safe and trouble free one. Some helpful tips from the experts include:
1. groups of children should be monitored by a responsible adult(s);
2. at least one person should have a flashlight, reflective clothing is always a plus;
3. trick or treat on well lit streets and go to homes with porch lights on;
4. never enter a stranger's house even if invited;
5. use sidewalks if possible, do not run across yards or streets;
6. never eat your treats until examined by your parents;
7. Parents- keep pets inside the house, garage or shed & know the supervising adult your child will be with.
Note: reflective wrist bands and halloween bags are available at the EAPD at no cost.
