... A WET AND WINDY HALLOWEEN...
A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE OHIO AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS TODAY AND MOVE THROUGH THE REGION TONIGHT. AHEAD OF THE FRONT... SHOWERS WILL BECOME WIDESPREAD BY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING HOURS. THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BE UNUSUALLY HUMID FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR... RESULTING IN THE POSSIBILITY OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
AS THE STORM SYSTEM STRENGTHENS... WINDS WILL PICK UP OVER OUR REGION THROUGHOUT THE DAY. EXPECT SUSTAINED WINDS BY LATE AFTERNOON TO INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MILES PER HOUR WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR... CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING.
BY SUNSET... A LINE OF STRONGER SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDER IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP OVER WESTERN KENTUCKY AND INDIANA. THIS LINE LOOKS TO MOVE ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND INDIANA BETWEEN 7 PM AND MIDNIGHT. WINDS JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE ARE FORECAST TO BE QUITE STRONG. SOME OF THESE WINDS LIKELY WILL COME DOWN TO THE SURFACE WITHIN THIS LINE OF SHOWERS AS IT MOVES EASTWARD. IN ADDITION... THE BEST CHANCE FOR A BRIEF ISOLATED TORNADO WOULD BE DURING THIS TIME FRAME PRIMARILY AND ALONG AND WEST OF THE INTERSTATE 65 CORRIDOR.
STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST FORECASTS TO MONITOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS STORM SYSTEM.
