Driver arrested for Operating While Intoxicated - High BAC after single-car crash.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, Fruitport Township Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Hilton Park Rd near E. Pontaluna Road.
Police responded to the area and located a single vehicle in the ditch. There was damage to the vehicle. Police made contact with the driver, a 50-year-old female from the Muskegon County area.
Through investigation at the scene, it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol and was intoxicated. Preliminary breath test results indicated a blood alcohol content of .262.
The driver was placed under arrest and lodged at the Muskegon County Jail. Records indicated the driver had no prior alcohol-related driving convictions.
No one was injured in the crash.
No further information, including identifying information of the driver, is being released by police at this time.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
