Three suspects arrested after Narcotics Investigation and Pursuit
On 10-31-13, members of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle in the parking lot area of Harris Teeter on Sunset Avenue. The operator and passenger of the vehicle were targets of a drug investigation and when Deputy’s attempted to stop the driver, DARIUS ANDRE COOPER, COOPER fled in the vehicle. The vehicle pursuit ended in the dead-end portion of Gravely Drive where COOPER fled on foot. COOPERS’ passenger,CARVELL PUDDY, was apprehended at the scene. COOPER was taken into custody after a brief foot chase and was treated and released for injuries sustained during the foot pursuit. A third suspect, BRIAN COMBS, was apprehended in the parking lot near Harris Teeter. Law enforcement seized 452 grams of Marijuana from the vehicle in which COOPER and PUDDY were occupants of.
