PRESS RELEASE: Warsaw PD serves multiple warrants at a Warsaw business for the sale and possession of synthetic drugs.

November 1, 2013

On Thursday evening, October 31, 2013, Warsaw Police served several arrest warrants following the latest four (4) month investigation involving the possession and selling of synthetic drugs out of the Phillips 66 Convenience and Fuel station, located at 2518 E. Center Street in Warsaw. Following undercover purchases and testing of the substances being sold, arrest warrants were issued and served on the owner/manager and his sons, who are clerks at the business.
Warrants served were for the following subjects:
• Jaswant Singh, 55 years of age, of Warsaw, IN charged with Corrupt Business Influence, a class C felony; and Dealing in Salvia or Synthetic Cannabinoids, a class D felony. His bond was set at $5,000 surety only.
• Simranjit Singh, 23 years of age, of Warsaw, IN charged with Possession of a Synthetic Drug, a class A misdemeanor. His bond was set at $10,000 surety only.
• Belwinder Singh, 20 years of age, of Warsaw, IN charged with Possession of a Synthetic Drug, a class A misdemeanor. His bond was also set at $10,000 surety only.

Warsaw Police were assisted in their investigation by the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.

Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of illegal drugs in our community by being aggressive toward the sale, use, and possession of illegal synthetic drugs. Warsaw drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9540.
