Elderly Critical Missing Man found at LA Union Station by LASD Transit Deputies
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies, found Michael Patrick Farrell on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013, at approx. 10:00 AM. Farrell had been reported missing by his family after he walked away from the LAC/USC Medical Center early Tuesday morning. Mr. Farrell wandered off after deputies had taken him to the Medical Center’s emergency room. Mr. Farrell was no longer in Sheriff’s custody, and had been released from court earlier in the day.
Transit Services Bureau Deputies, who have law enforcement responsibility for Union Station, were called when Farrell was spotted near a store at the location and appeared lost and disoriented. Deputies arrived and with the assistance of a Mental Evaluation Team Deputy, were able to identify Farrell and reunite him with his family. Mr. Farrell appeared healthy and in good spirits.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Department, who took the original missing person report, was notified that Farrell had been found.
