The Indiana State Police is currently investigating an alleged battery involving a LaVille Elementary School bus driver and a student.
The student, a minor, reported the incident to school officials the same day of the occurrence, October 24th, 2013. The child purported to have been slapped by the driver shortly before being let off the bus in the parking lot of LaVille Elementary in Lakeville.
School officials reported the incident to the Indiana Department of Child Services who referred the case to the Indiana State Police. The state police investigation is ongoing.
*All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
