Enbridge Pipeline to perform hydrostatic test of the 6B line
Enbridge Pipeline Co will perform a hydrostatic test of the Line 6B on November 12-13, 2013.
According to a press release from the company, "a hydrostatic test involves filling the pipeline with water and raising the operating pressure to normal pressure or higher for a period of time."
The company is asking the public to stay at least 100 feet away from the pipeline area during the testing.
Work crews may need to access the right-of-way during the testing. All vehicles and personnel will be clearly identified as Enbridge contractors.
According to a release from Enbridge. The company "is offering to temporarily relocate individuals whose homes are within 100 feet of the pipeline. These individuals will be offered (2) nights lodging, food allowance for (2) days and reimbursement for pet boarding."
