Full Notification

Due to a water line break on Fort Shafter, Island Palm Communities housing areas and on-post barracks in the 1100-1400 blocks are being asked to conserve water until further notice.

The garrison's Directorate of Public Works is actively responding to the situation.

Residents in the affected areas currently have water, however it is estimated that the current water supply will be depleted later this evening. Water buffalos are being coordinated for emergency use and will be placed in the affected areas.

Additionally, the Fort Shafter Child Development Center will be closed Nov. 13 due to the water line break.

This does not affect Fort Shafter Flats or Palm Circle housing.
