PRESS RELEASE

On 11/12/2013 at approximately 1100pm the Manchester Police and the Winhall Police Departments received information that a missing 17 year old female may be located in a guest room at the Econo Lodge Motel in Manchester. The Manchester and Winhall Police officers responded and found the missing girl who was later returned home to her family. The female was found in the company of 23 year old Lamar James of Newark New Jersey. Further investigation led police to search the motel room. The search uncovered a felony amount of heroin and a small amount of marijuana. James was subsequently arrested and charges with Felony Possession of Heroin and issued a civil ticket for Possession of Marijuana. James was transported to Marble Valley Correctional Facility for lack of $20,000.00 bail and ordered to appear in Bennington Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/13/2013. Troopers from the Vermont State Police later responded and assisted with the investigation. Any one with further information is encouraged to contact police.
