The Alhambra Police Department received a grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
In July, 2013, the Alhambra Police Department received a $47,777 grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Since July, the Alhambra Police Department, along with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control have been working to achieve the grant’s objectives and goals with great success. As of today’s date, we have conducted two training classes for local businesses, inspected forty three businesses and completed seven enforcement operations. During the course of the enforcement operations, seventeen arrests were made regarding alcohol related crimes and nineteen citations were issued.
The participation and cooperation provided by citizens, visitors and local businesses regarding the enforcement of alcohol related crimes is greatly appreciated. We would like to thank the Alhambra Community for helping us ensure that alcohol related crimes will not be tolerated and that minors are unable to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.
