Los Angeles- On Sunday, November 17, 2013, at approximately 8:50 a.m., a fatal Motorcycle vs. Vehicle traffic collision occurred at the 4600 block of Los Feliz Blvd in Northeast Area.

The victim, whose identity is unknown, was riding his 2009 Kawasaki ZX6R motorcycle westbound in the #1 lane of Los Feliz Blvd when the driver of a 2012 BMW 328i drove out of her driveway directly in front of the path of the motorcyclist. The victim suffered severe head and body injuries and was transported to LAC+USC Medical Center by LAFD paramedics. Despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced dead at 9:29 a.m.

The driver of the BMW was also transported to LAC+USC Medical Center by LAFD paramedics. She suffered numerous lacerations and complained of pain to her left shoulder

Drugs or alcohol were not involved. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of the next of kin. The investigation is being conducted by Central Traffic Detectives and is on-going.
