11/18: TPD arrested 3 individuals in separate CDS cases to include Marijuana and Heroin.

On November 18, 2013, the Thurmont Police made three (3) separate drug arrests. At 1:30pm officers located a female in the area of Sandy Spring Lane in a location frequented by individuals using CDS. Further investigation revealed that the female was in possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. The female identified as: Larissa Drew Shaffer, age 21, of Thurmont, was charged via Criminal Citations and released.
At 5:30pm, a Thurmont Police Officer conducted a traffic stop after detecting an odor of Marijuana emitting from a vehicle. The officer identified the driver as: Michelle Lynn Ellison, age 45, of Thurmont. Ms. Ellison was charged via Criminal Citations for “Possession of Marijuana,” and released.
At 11:30pm, a Thurmont Police Officer responded to an apartment on Sandy Spring Lane for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival the officer learned that the dispute was over the female’s involvement with Heroin. Further investigation revealed that the female had recently injected herself with Heroin and was in possession of numerous Heroin capsules and a syringe. The female was identified as: Marci Ellen Luckhurst, age 38, of Thurmont. Ms. Luckhurst was arrested and charged with: “Possession of CDS” and “Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.”
