Headline – “Detroit 300 Community Action Team”, Autumn Fundraiser
Detroit, Michigan, November 13, 2013
Detroit 300 Community Action Team will be launching a community safety fundraiser that promotes Community Oriented Policing.
Detroit 300 Community Action Team has played a very important yet dangerous role in helping law enforcement agencies investigate and identify suspects of senseless and violent crimes perpetrated in Detroit’s neighborhoods.
By working directly with the community, we encourage residents to assist law enforcement, filling the gap between the police department and neighborhoods that are driven by fear to turn a blind eye to violent crime and criminals.
The funds raised will help support the on going efforts of the Detroit 300 Community Action Team. Its sole focus is to continue to help communities organize to eradicate crime by policing targeted areas and collectively pursuing individuals who wreak havoc, mayhem, and terror on our seniors, women & children.
Because some have lost their lives during this mission to make our streets safe, we understand that not all are willing to actively participate. However, you can play a critical role in making our Capital Campaign a success by helping us meet our goal of $250,000 to continue the work we begun just three years ago.
The event will be hosted by Pulitzer prize winner Angelo Henderson, also the featured speaker will be Judge Craig Strong.
For many years, Detroit has been designated one of the most dangerous cities in America. This dubious designation is more than a headline in national news reports. Those reports of senseless acts of crime have victims, with names, faces and families that will never be the same, particularly those with suspects that are never brought to justice. In order to finally affirm Detroit as a safe city, we all have to do our part.
The Detroit 300 Community Action Team Autumn fundraiser will be on November 20, 2013 at Mitch’s Bar & Grill 2549 Grand River Ave. Detroit, Michigan 48201 Ph: 313 965-4542
