.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SURGE SOUTHEAST INTO NORTH CENTRAL
KANSAS THURSDAY MORNING. THIS COLD AIR COMBINED WITH WARM AND
UNSTABLE AIR ALOFT WILL PRODUCE LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND DRIZZLE
BEGINNING THURSDAY MORNING OVER NORTH CENTRAL AREAS. THE LIGHT AND
INTERMITTENT WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL PERSIST THROUGH EARLY
FRIDAY EVENING.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR A LIGHT WINTRY MIX...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9
AM THURSDAY TO 6 PM CST FRIDAY.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND DRIZZLE
THURSDAY MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON. SLEET IS POSSIBLE ON
THURSDAY AFTERNOON CHANGING TO LIGHT SNOW FROM THURSDAY
EVENING THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY EVENING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...LESS THAN AN INCH IS EXPECTED.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* IMPACTS...WHILE THE ACCUMULATIONS ARE LIGHT FOR A PROLONGED
PERIOD OF TIME...THE WINTRY MIX WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS WITH POSSIBLE SLICK ROADS...BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.
WHILE SURFACE ROAD AND SOIL TEMPERATURES REMAIN ABOVE
FREEZING...PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN IF USING SIDEWALKS AND
