Driving While Under The Influence Checkpoint in Norwalk - LASD
On Saturday November 23, 2013, there will be a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License Sobriety checkpoint in the city of Norwalk.
The checkpoint will be staffed with personnel from the city of Norwalk Department of Public Safety and Norwalk Sheriff’s Station. This checkpoint is funded through a grant from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety.
This notice of a pending operation will be given to the City News Service and the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau at least 48 hours in advance of the operation.
A copy of the operation plan will be sent to the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau with this notification.
The exact location of the checkpoint will not be announced to the City News Service more than two hours before the checkpoint’s scheduled start time. This is following the procedures described in Department policy.
This operation is subject to postponement due to adverse weather conditions.
