Artesia Deputies and Volunteers serve seniors at Artesia’s Thanksgiving Senior Luncheon 
On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, Artesia Special Assignment Team Deputies along with station Volunteers donned their hairnets and gloves to help serve local seniors for the annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Artesia Community Center. Ordinarily local seniors gather to socialize and participate in various daily events, but this day was unique. It was a time for the seniors to gather, give thanks and let Deputies and Volunteers wait their tables while meeting and greeting many of them. Mayor Sally Flowers, Councilmen John Lyon and Tony Lima also celebrated with local seniors, sitting at tables and eating alongside them. They also participated in a drawing where various items were given away. Just another great day in Artesia!
