Telephone Scam Alert 
Telephone scam artists are impersonating Georgia Power Company debt collection employees threatening to discontinue service unless the recipient of the call immediately provides debit or credit card information.
The Georgia Power Company does not collect debts via telephone nor do they send representatives to any home or business for collection purposes.
Instructions:
Do not furnish any financial information over the phone.
