THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 AM EST WEDNESDAY.
* WINDS... SOUTH INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
* IMPACTS... THE STRONG WIND GUSTS CAN BE DANGEROUS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES AND MAY ALSO CAUSE SOME POWER OUTAGES IF TREE LIMBS BREAK AND KNOCK DOWN SOME WIRES.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
MOTORISTS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES AND WHILE TRAVELING ACROSS BRIDGES AND OTHER ELEVATED ROADWAYS. LIGHT-WEIGHT OUTDOOR OBJECTS SUCH AS PATIO FURNITURE, GARBAGE CANS AND DECORATIONS SHOULD BE SECURED.

.LOW PRESSURE WILL ARRIVE LATE TONIGHT AND THEN MOVE ACROSS THE AREA WEDNESDAY. SOUTHERLY WINDS IN ADVANCE OF THE STORM ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE AND BECOME QUITE GUSTY AS VERY STRONG WINDS ABOVE THE SURFACE MIX DOWN TO THE GROUND AT TIMES.
