On November 24, 2013, at about 7:23 p.m., a motorist traveling southbound in the 2900 block of South Westmoreland Road struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street. The motorist failed to stop and render aid to Mikal Ray, Black male 10/6/1990. Mikal was transported to Methodist Central Hospital, and is in critical condition.
Witnesses who observed the suspect vehicle described it as a white Lexus sport utility vehicle with paper tags. This suspect vehicle has possible damage to the front right bumper. This incident is documented on service numbers 300259-A and 300107-A.
