Full Notification

The Police Department in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center, wants to warn residents about a scam where the caller indicates a relative was taken hostage or involved in a minor accident. During the course of the call, the suspect tells the victim they must pay $2,000 or some other monetary amount, or their relative will be harmed. Anyone receiving a phone call similar to this should call the Police Department immediately (911).
