The Columbia Township Police Department is currently investigating a breaking and entering that occurred at Hills Heart of the Lakes Golf Course located on Case Rd in the Village of Brooklyn. On Monday morning, December 1st, 2013 employees arrived at the golf course and discovered the storage barns had been forcefully entered and property stolen for within them.

When officers arrived, it was determined that a large number of golf cart batteries and maintenance equipment had been stolen. Also taken were gas powered trimmers and other maintenance equipment. An undetermined amount of fuel was also believed to be stolen.

Based on the investigation, it is believed that the suspect (s) removed a small section of fence and drove around the gate, then across the course to the storage barns. It is believed that this incident occurred sometime between Wednesday November 27th, 2013 and Monday December 1st, 2013.
