FREE Screening of Award Winning Film "Switch" Sat Dec 7, 2 pm, CV Library Civic Branch

Energy use and conservation are in the news -- but do you really understand it? What's "Fracking"? Can solar or wind generated energy replace oil? How long will fossil fuels last? Is nuclear energy dependable? More importantly -- why worry about energy conservation at all? To get the big picture, check out a screening of the award winning documentary "Switch" on Saturday, December 7, 2 p.m. at the Chula Vista Public Library Civic Center Branch, 365 F St. The program is free and open to all ages.

"Switch" looks at some of the world's largest energy sites, global leaders and trends. Think there is one way to solve the problem of having enough energy to go around? Then be prepared for some surprises and insights on where we are and what we can expect in the future. Afterwards, visit the library's Energy Lounge to review the books, information and energy monitoring tools available for loan to help you do your part in conserving energy. The City of Chula Vista's Energy Roadshow Trailer will be in attendance, providing information on energy and local initiatives to help you. Green reusable bags and LED night lights will be given to attendees (while supplies last).

For more information on this event and others, visit http://www.chulavistalibrary.com, or go to the Switch Energy Project at http://www.switchenergyproject.com to find out more about the documentary and energy efficiency. "Switch" has received eight film awards and the Chula Vista screening is the only one currently offered in California.
