Firefighters Quickly Extinguish 1-Alarm Fire in Emeryville
On Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 8:31AM, firefighters responded to a one-alarm fire at 1270 64th Street in Emeryville.
The response to the two-story house included a Battalion Chief and two engines from the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD), and one Battalion Chief, one engine and one truck from the Oakland Fire Department.
Firefighters fully extinguished the fire in less than 10 minutes of their arrival.
One adult was displaced as a result of the fire and there were no reports of injuries to firefighters, community members or pets.
The ACFD Fire Investigator determined the improper use of extension cords in the living room area caused the one-alarm fire.
