Sheriffs department reports difficult road conditions in the East Mountain area. 
Deputies are reporting severe winter driving conditions in the East Mountains of Bernalillo County. Interstate 40 is open but traffic is slow moving and multiple crashes have been reported.
Roads north and south of Interstate 40 are snow packed and icy. Travel is discouraged in the area.
