The Grosse Pointe City Police would like to remind residents to be aware of their surroundings and alert to suspicious persons in the area. On Tuesday, December 3, 2013 a female was confronted as she walked from her car to her front door in the 700 block of Neff. The perpetrator snatched her purse and fled on a "squeaky" bicycle across Mack Ave. into Detroit.
The perpetrator was described as a black, male, approximately 30 years old, 5'6, 175 lbs, wearing a tan knit hat and a black jacket. The bike was described as "older." It is believed the subject resides in the area. If you see anyone who matches this description, please notify our department immediately at 886-3200 – prompt#1.
