The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter Weather advisory for Snow...Sleet and freezing Rain...Which is in effect until 7 PM EST this evening.
* Locations...Northeast Kentucky and extreme Southwest West Virginia.
* Hazard types...Freezing Rain...Sleet...And Snow.
* Ice accumulations...Less than one quarter of an inch.
* Snow accumulations...1 to 3 inches.
* Timing...Precipitation will begin as Snow Early this morning...And then change to sleet and the freezing Rain by Mid to late morning.
* Impacts...Ice will accumulate on surfaces...Including Trees and Power lines...Leading to Power fluctuations and possible outages. Untreated roadways will become Slick and hazardous for travel.
* Winds...East 5 to 10 mph.
* Temperatures...In the upper 20s...Rising into the Mid 30s.

A Winter Weather advisory Means that periods of Snow ...Sleet... Or freezing Rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery Roads and limited visibilities... And use caution while driving.
