Advisory

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow & sleet was issued at: 3:17 today and expires at: 12:00 AM on December 10, 2013

Today, at 3:17 p.m., the National Weather Service in Gray Maine issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and sleet from midnight tonight until midnight Monday night for Central and Eastern New Hampshire.

This weather event will bring possible accumulations of snow and sleet of up to 3 to 5 inches.

Snow will begin across southern New Hampshire around midnight and spread north across Maine by daybreak. A transition to sleet may occur on Monday with rain possible closer to the coast. Precipitation will end from west to east on Monday evening.

Snow and sleet accumulations will make driving more difficult. Use extra caution when driving.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and sleet means periods of snow and sleet are imminent or occurring.

Sleet may cause driving to become extremely dangerous so be prepared to use caution when traveling. This includes cleaning snow and ice from your vehicle completely, reducing your speed during travel, maintaining a safe distance between vehicles and giving yourself extra time in your travels.

Please follow a reputable weather service for updates and changes in this alert.
