HOMICIDE
COMMUNITY OF CHAPELGATE, ODENTON
On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at about 3:35 a.m., Anne Arundel County Police Department Western District officers responded to the 1300 block of Chapelview Drive in Odenton for several reports of gunshots being heard in the area.
When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body inside of a home in that hundred block. The victim died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Witnesses in the area reported seeing a subject described as a black male in his mid 20’s, wearing a blue coat and jeans running from the scene.
Anne Arundel County Police Homicide Investigators have assumed responsibility for the investigation, which is very active. The investigation is in the very early stages; however, this is not believed to be a random act of violence. The victim lived at the home where this shooting occurred.
The victim has been identified as:
Sharron Charles Mason, 19, of the 1300 block of Chapelview Dr. Odenton.
