On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, officers from the Montclair Police Department assisted the Redlands Police Department with locating the bank robber identified as the “Button Down Bandit.” David Younger, the “Button Down Bandit,” has been identified for robbing six banks in the Southern California area.
Officers from both departments were conducting surveillance on a residence in the City of Montclair. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Younger, he fled in a vehicle. Younger led officers on a high speed pursuit into the city of Ontario, where his vehicle was disabled by pursuing officers. Younger was taken into custody and book at the West Valley Detention Center.
