On 12/12/2013, Fruitport Township Police Department received information that a 29-year-old male subject with an outstanding warrant from the State of Tennessee may be staying in the Fruitport Township area.
Officers were on the way to the address where the subject was believed to be staying when they were redirected to a Retail Fraud incident at the Younker's store in The Lakes Mall. A male subject was reportedly fighting with store security as they were trying to take him into custody at that location.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the subject and immediately recognized him as the subject they were seeking with the outstanding warrant.
The subject was taken into custody and lodged at the Muskegon County Jail for the incident at the mall as well as the outstanding warrant from Tennessee.
No further information regarding this incident, including the name of the involved subject, is being released by police at this time.
