...Winter Weather advisory in effect from 7 AM to 6 PM EST Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Weather advisory for Light to moderate Snow...Which is in effect from 7 AM to 6 PM EST Tuesday.
* Locations...Southern Vermont...Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts and Litchfield County in Northwest Connecticut.
* Hazard types...Light to moderate Snow.
* Accumulations...2 to 6 inches with higher amounts located across the higher terrain of The Green mountains...Berkshires and Litchfield Hills in Western New England.
* Maximum snowfall rates...A half inch to one inch per hour.
* Timing...Light Snow will develop and overspread the region Tuesday morning. The Snow will become steadier during the late morning hours and into the afternoon Tuesday before diminishing Tuesday night.
* Impacts...Snow covered and untreated roadways will Lead to Slick and hazardous driving conditions.
* Winds...East to Southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Temperatures...In the single digits and Low teens during the morning hours...Rising into the upper teens to Mid 20s during the afternoon before falling into the teens Tuesday night.
