West Los Angeles Area is hosting an English speaking Citizen Community Police Academy beginning every Wednesday night, from March 5th through to May 7th at LAFD Station 59, 11505 Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90064 (community room) with a culmination date of May 14, 2014. Parking is free and the building is handicap accessible.

Each Community member must meet the following criteria:

● Must be 18 years old or older;
● Live, work or go to school in Operations-West Bureau;
● No prior felony conviction;
● No outstanding warrants;
● No pending criminal cases; and
● Must be approved by an Area Commanding Officer.

Interested citizens should contact the Officer-in-Charge of the Community Relations Office and or their Senior Lead Officers at their local police station for applications. West Los Angeles residents should contact (310) 444-0735.
