Pontaluna Road in Fruitport Township has been re-opened following a weather-related traffic incident involving multiple vehicles, including three semi-trucks, earlier this morning. No one was injured in the incident. The road had been shut down while emergency responders worked with tow trucks in trying to get the vehicles removed from the area.
The icy road conditions made it difficult for the tow trucks to gain traction to be able to effectively move the vehicles. Road commission trucks responded to the area to assist.
The vehicles have been removed, and the roadway is open again.
Motorists are encouraged to drive with extreme caution.
