Extended: City of Pasadena Red Flag Alert & Parking Restrictions Until 10:00 a.m. Tomorrow (12/30)
The Red Flag Alert and Parking Restrictions have now been extended until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30th, 2013. This extension is associated with the National Weather Service's predictions and their continuation of a Red Flag weather warning for the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley.
Pasadena Fire Chief Calvin E. Wells has directed the activation of Red Flag Parking Restrictions within the City of Pasadena in response to National Weather Service predictions. This alert began at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 29th, 2013 and is scheduled to tentatively end at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30th, 2013.
A Red Flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected. This in combination with dry fuels could create extreme fire danger and/or fire behavior. In order to allow for improved Fire Department access and resident evacuation, parking is restricted on posted narrow and/or winding roads within Pasadena’s urban-wildland interface areas.
With Tournament of Roses activities surrounding the Rose Bowl area, please be cognizant of parking restrictions around residential streets. Parking tickets will be issued and vehicles will be towed if necessary.
