Snow removal crews will be working Downtown tonight from 11PM thru 5AM trying to remove as much of the accumulated snow as possible. Residents and businesses are asked to avoid parking on Main starting at 11PM as much as possible to allow the crews access to move the snow from the area. Parking is prohibited from 2AM-6AM, but we are requesting additional assistance from citizens and business owners during the 11PM-2AM period. Crews will remove as much snow as possible overnight tonight, anticipating additional accumulations Saturday night and Sunday morning. If necessary, they will return later in the week to address any additional accumulations and/or complete the clean-up. Tolan Street near Main will need to be used to stage snow, therefore may not be passable during the very late/early morning time period of this operation. The FD and EMS have been notified of the potential temporary Tolan Street closure. Tolan will be open well before morning.
