...WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM EST /2 PM CST/ MONDAY
TO NOON EST /11 AM CST/ TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A WIND
CHILL WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM EST /2 PM CST/
MONDAY TO NOON EST /11 AM CST/ TUESDAY. THE WIND CHILL WATCH IS
NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* EVENT...UP TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE. RAPIDLY FALLING
TEMPERATURES TONIGHT MAY CAUSE WET SPOTS ON ROADS TO QUICKLY
FREEZE. COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO PRODUCE
DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES OF 15 BELOW ZERO AND LOWER AT TIMES.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW TOWARD MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...
BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS BY SUNRISE.
DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS ARE EXPECTED AT TIMES MONDAY AFTERNOON...
THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT AND INTO TUESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE MAY MAKE DRIVING AND WALKING HAZARDOUS ON
UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS. THE LOW WIND CHILLS CAN
RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR EVEN DEATH IF
PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND
STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THESE
CONDITIONS CAN QUICKLY RESULT IN FROST BITE...AND CAN LEAD TO
HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. THOSE
VENTURING OUTDOORS SHOULD DRESS WARMLY...MAKING SURE THAT ALL
EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED.

TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BECOME HAZARDOUS ONCE THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION
BEGINS. MOTORISTS NEED TO BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL ON BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES WHERE SLIPPERY SPOTS OFTEN DEVELOP FIRST.
