Travel Warning in effect for Montgomery County Indiana
The Montgomery County Commissioners in conjunction with the Montgomery County Highway Department Supervisor, Montgomery County Sheriff and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency Director is declaring a local Travel Warning in effect for Montgomery County Indiana.
Warning Definition:
Warning: This is the highest level of local travel advisory and means that travel may be restricted to emergency workers and public safety or health officials only. During a warning, individuals are directed to;
1) Refrain from all travel;
2) Comply with all necessary emergency measures;
3) Cooperate with public officials and disaster service forces in
executing emergency operations plan; and
4) Obey and comply with the lawful directions or properly identified
officers.
Further and more specific restrictions, including parking restrictions, may be included in a warning.
Reference is hereby made to all appropriate laws, statutes, ordinance and resolutions and particularly to Indiana Code 10-14-3-29.
All public offices and employees of Montgomery County are hereby directed to exercise the utmost diligence in the discharge of their duties required of them for the duration of the emergency and in the execution of emergency laws, regulations and directives (State and Local).
All citizens are called upon and directed to comply with the necessary travel watch measures, to cooperate with public officials and disaster services forces.
All operating forces will direct their communications and requests for assistance and operations directly to the Montgomery County Emergency Operating Center.
