Please see the attached message from the City of Rocky River regarding the extreme cold weather we are anticipating.
Due to extreme weather conditions refuse will not be collected on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Refuse collection will be delayed one day the rest of the week. The Transfer Station located at 22401 Lake Road will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for residents with photo-identification to dispose of refuse.
On Tuesday, January 7th the Senior Center will be closed. The Senior Center facility will be available as a warming station on Tuesday only if there are wide-spread power outages.
Recreation cancellations: Basketball for Monday, January 6th at the schools is cancelled; Adult Volleyball at Lutheran West is cancelled. Tuesday, January 7th mini-soccer at the Civic Center is cancelled.
Monday’s Adult Volley Ball at the Civic Center is on as scheduled and is NOT cancelled.
City Hall (440-331-0600) will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and please do not hesitate to call regarding any questions or concerns. Please use caution if leaving your home tomorrow and avoid leaving space heaters unattended.
