Press Release 1-6-14

On 12/31/2013 at 3:51 pm the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 23 in the Washington Diner parking lot for an outstanding Warrant from Washington NJ. He was processed and lodged in the Warren County Jail in default of bail.

On 1/1/2014 at 10:29 am the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 54 of Oxford NJ. He was arrested on Buckley Ave in Oxford NJ on a motor vehicle stop. During the stop it was learned that there was an outstanding warrant from White Twp for $145.00. He was processed and released after posting bail. He was also issued the following motor vehicle summonses: Driving unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, unlicensed driver, no seat belt and failed to exhibit documents.

On 1/3/2014 at 2:53 pm the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 27 of Washington NJ. He was arrested on East Washington Ave after being spotted driving a motor vehicle. The Officer knew the male and also that he was suspended and had outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody, processed and released on bail pending his court date. He was also charged with the following motor vehicle offensives: suspended drivers license and obstructed license plate.

On 1/3/2014 at 11:53 pm the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 46 of Washington NJ. He was arrested on South Prospect Street in Washington. Police responded to the area for a disturbance call. During the investigation he was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged with possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released pending his court date.

On 1/3/2013 at 11:33 pm the Washington Twp Police arrested two males, ages 27 and 29 both of Washington NJ. The males were arrested on Belvidere Ave in Washington NJ after the Police were called for a physical dispute. They were taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing. One male was charged with simple assault and possess of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The other male was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and simple assault. Both parties were released pending their court date.

On 1/4/2014 at 10:20 pm the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 23 of Washington NJ. He was arrested after he turned himself in at the Police department. He had an outstanding warrant from Washington Twp and was wanted by the Warren County Prosecutors Office for failing to appear. He was processed and lodged in the Warren County Jail.

On 1/6/2014 at 3:30 am the Washington Twp Police arrested a male, age 38 of Phillipsburg NJ. The Police were called for a dispute in the area of Bense Court in Washington Twp NJ. Upon arrival it was learned that the male had a $5000 outstanding warrant and had fled the area prior to the police arrival. The Phillipsburg Police Department was contacted and advised the male was probably heading back to their town. The Phillipsburg Police apprehended the male and turned him over to the Washington Twp Police. He was processed and lodged in the Warren County Jail in default of bail.
