BVT and surrounding counties should be aware of dangerous ice conditions that have developed.
The precipitation that began falling this morning has quickly turned to ice on roadways, walkways, etc. Emergency Responders are responding to a high volume of motor vehicle crashes and falls. Some areas in Southern New Jersey are reporting call volumes that exceed local capabilities and need for mutual aide response. These conditions are expected to last through the morning.
Avoid going outside, driving, or working in the conditions especially if you have underlying health issues. The afternoon is expected to warm up and should help resolve the issues however if the ground remains wet the conditions could return overnight as the sun sets and temperatures fall.
