On January 9, 2014 Polk County Narcotics Officers discovered a Methamphetamine Lab at 315 Scoggins Rd in Polk County North Carolina. During the investigation Polk County Sheriff’s Officers along with North Carolina SBI agents found one actively working methamphetamine lab inside the residence along with approximately 15 old methamphetamine one-pot labs inside and outside the home. This is the largest Methamphetamine Lab operation that has been found in the county in recent years, possible one of the largest in county history. Green Creek Fire Department was also on scene, they helped with the decontamination process and for safety of other personal because of the high amounts of danger that comes with working Meth Labs. “This is a great example of law enforcement agencies working together. I appreciate all the agencies involved including the Green Creek Fire Department for their time and help making Polk County a safer place to live.” stated Sheriff Donald J. Hill.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests:

** Billy Lawrence Carr 38 years old

Charged with

(1) Manufacture Methamphetamine

(2) Poss/Distribute Meth Precursor, Maintain Veh/Dwell/Place CS

(3) Possess with intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine

(4) Possess Drug Paraphernalia.

Billy Carr was given a 30,000 dollar secured bond and is still currently being held in the Polk County Jail.

**Harold Dean Bailey 50 years old

Charges with

(1) Manufacture Methamphetamine

(2) Poss/Distribute Meth Precursor

(3) Fictitious Info to Officer.

Harold Bailey was given a 25,000 dollar secured bond and is still currently being held in the Polk County Jail.
