On 1/9/14, at approximately 12:35 am, a sexual assault and attempted robbery occurred in the area of Sunnyoaks Avenue and Winchester Blvd. A female victim was walking on Sunnyoaks Avenue when the suspect grabbed her from behind and forced her behind a car.
The suspect started to sexually assault the victim, at which time she burned him on the left side of his face with a cigarette. It is believed that the suspect may now have injuries associated with the burn.
The suspect pulled out a handgun and threatened the victim. The suspect attempted to take property from the victim, who was able to break free and run away. The victim flagged down a passerby who chased the suspect. He was last seen running northbound in an alleyway on Sobrato Drive.
