Although temperatures are unseasonably high, the ground has not had sufficient time to thaw and absorb that moisture plus the predicted 2 inches of rainfall in some areas. This will lead to rivers and streams overflowing, ponding and flooding of roadways, and flowing of water into structures.
There is also forecasted opportunity for high wind gusts associated with the weekend weather which could bring down trees, poles/wires, and move debris such as into roadways.
The weather conditions may even produce some thunder. Please use caution when driving for areas that may have ponding for flooding; do not drive into flooded areas. Be mindful of potential for flying debris or falling trees/wires/poles. Check basements and other below ground areas for flooding and if necessary take protective measures for self and contents.
