Full Notification

PD and FD responded to a report of a gas smell in the area of East Miller and Dexter over night. DTE was called and responded. DTE crews located the leak near the street and indicated there was no danger to residents in the area and no need for any evacuation. They indicated a repair crew would be dispatched to fix the leak. Current ETA is 8:30AM. DTE advised there was no need for emergency responders to remain on scene, however Milan PD continued to check and monitor the area throughout the early morning hours. A Milan Police Officer is currently in the area advising surrounding homeowners of the problem, advising them there is no danger, and that repairs should be made within the hour. Milan PD will be on site during repairs and will continue to monitor the area until they are completed.
