On Thursday, 01/09/2014, The Slocomb Police Department was called for service to 126 South Ball Street Lot #1 in Slocomb. The call for service was in reference to Slocomb EMS requesting lifting assistance for a patient in need of transport to an emergency room. Upon arrival it was told to EMS and police officers that the lady had fell from her door steps and injured herself. The injuries and story did not represent themselves as factual.
Upon arriving at a local Dothan Hospital, it was reported by E.R. Staff that the injuries sustained to the victim were substantial and could not have occurred from a fall from the steps of a mobile home. Slocomb EMS was notified as were Slocomb Police Department.
An investigation was started into the events and it was determined that on the night of Wednesday, 01/08/2014, and the early morning hours of Thursday, 01/09/2014 that a violent assault took place within the home on the female occupant of the residence. Investigation revealed that the suspect was the male occupant of the home. Arrested was Tony Martin Williams and charged with Attempted Murder and was placed in the Geneva County Jail. Williams was given a no bond and is currently still in the Geneva County Jail. The couple’s child was present during this assault and Geneva County DHR was notified and measures taken for the safety of the child.
The investigation into this incident is on-going, and details are being withheld until the investigation is complete.
