Earlier this morning, 01-15-14, AEPD units were dispatched to a number of calls pertaining to incidents of "Entering Auto" which had occurred in the Kensington Road (3100 block) and Stratford Road (800 block) area.
Early reports indicate that 7 vehicles had been entered. At the time of this advisory it has been determined that one vehicle was forcibly entered and another was a pickup truck which had a toolbox removed from the bed. Some vehicles did not have anything taken, while others had an assortment of small items to include GPS's and assorted change, one vehicle had a handgun taken as well.
The estimated time of the incidents is approximately 02:30 - 03:00AM, today's date. At the present time, no suspects are known or suspect vehicles to report.
Anyone having information that may be related to the incidents are asked to contact Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526. Also, everyone is reminded to lock their vehicles when not in use, remove items from view and to report any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to 911 immediately.
