The Woodway Public Safety Department is currently enrolling participants for the 2014 Citizens’ Police Academy which begins February 20. The application deadline is February 18. The 8 week course is free and will meet every Thursday night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Woodway Public Safety Building at 920 Estates Drive. The goal is to gain a better understanding of police and fire services. The course will conclude with a graduation ceremony in April. Applicants must be 18 years old, reside or own a business in Woodway, pass a background check, and be willing to commit to the program.
